Nice summation and I agree with all the section 2 suggestions. Don't know when I'll get around to implementing any of those (because... time) but hopefully I can at some point.
I really wish Amok & Ivan hadn't offered the lifetime option.... they gained a lot of money off that (so in a sense, I guess it was a good business decision for them) but it's not a sustainable business model. Unfortunately for me the fact that they did and the community got so used to it meant that its very difficult to stop doing now. So I guess we're stuck with it.... but it really should cost more at this point.
For a brief time, when we had the Covid spike, it looked like atWar might have profit potential as a business after all, and I did my best to take advantage of that opportunity... but ultimately it faded away again. So AW returned to the status of "hobby I work on when I have time", where it comfortably remains....
Well from my perspective I want to keep my lifetime membership, agree inflation cause American world war III is killing us, new lifetime membership should be more then it was, unfortunately cause my new job I dont have time to play as I used to, but I made great friends here although dont know anyone in real life cause we are very far away, bad time for such a great game, even ppl who had fights with me over many things I m little nostalgic
I would like to know what the bug is, because I've seen many suspicious moves in some of the games i've played... is there a way to report?
And also I'd like to know whats bug and whats not, because I use to extend the rank of my units joining them in their way to other stack that hasn't move so the movement do some average between the range left by the first group of units and the range that the new group has, ponderating the average with the number of units, or so it seems.
You can report something by using "/report" in chat

As a devoted disciple of the gothic realm, my blackened heart secretly revels in this deliciously dark moment—one I've anticipated with macabre glee. Yet, the iron shackles of my position within Prestige constrain me, demanding a facade of decorum that suffocates my true nature. I cannot, in good conscience, endorse such gloriously defiant behavior, particularly from a mere subordinate. This wretched duality—the eternal struggle between my somber, shadow-dwelling self and the mask of professional decorum I'm forced to don—rends my very essence asunder, leaving me trapped in an exquisite agony of conflicting desires.
You will get caught. We can check exactly where you build your units and how you move them from the logs. We will ask you to replicate moves if we see something suspicious. It's unfortunate that Dave has not been able to fix certain bugs that are in the game. However, just because they are in the game does not mean that they are fair to use.
It's truly unfortunate, especially for me, that we have to ban people for cheating in 2024 given the state of the game and the small amount of active players. But we just can't let cheating slide. It's unacceptable. Please don't cheat so that mods don't have to ban you. I don't want to have to ban any more players.
