Im not sure if im reading this right or not but "points" or sp are earned by playing games. the sp earned is then used to buy upgrades. the only other way sp is gained is by earning metals which are givin based of in game stats. as for the updates there is a list of release notes in the forms. which updates are avalible can be found in one of the forum pages.

The problem with guerrilla warfare, and pretty much every other strategy is that tank general overpowers you (at least in long games).

An interesting proposal I think would be to allow militia to be built every 2 weeks instead of 4. It might be impossible to do coding wise, but it makes sense since it is easier to round up some militia than to construct a tank.


not sure your right about this. some of the strategies like the naval stratgy sure but master of stealth and imperialist are pretty decent

I have just recently introduced a friend to this game and he was talking to me about how the matces can be unfair because some of the players have air transports and some dont. i also have an issue with transports costing above 500, 2 times the cost of sea transports. As far as i can tell air transports win in 1 speed and manuverability and sea transports win in cost and load which seem fair. now as it does still seem unfair to those who cant use transports aka for those who do not win games, i sudgesst the solution that wee simply change the upgrade that unlocks transports to one that lowers the price for transports. this would mean that everyone could use transports just some at a lower cost.

Iv e had similar issues where one stack was attacke so all the other ones didnt bother moving. the senrio where this occured was i had two stacks about to invade a city but my opponet got there first with more fire power than either stack had ceperatly. i tried to combine the stacks so my defence was higher than his attack and even flew in some help but the resulkt was that he attacked one of the stacks and the other stack and the planes didn move.

Was there changes to this stratgy today? i havent seen any update release but when i used it today malitia costed 10 extra and trans ports costed 300 extra

Oh did forget to mention airtransports? they help alot fyi iknow this from experiance bc i regularly beat india and china from just europe. my sudgestion is your wasting time in africa

Ah well that could be a problem but i think that would be more tedious thn its worth, unless ure transfering the sp gain from earning medals. i think it would be easy enough to limit transphers to those acctually earned in game play

Hoy there is another one of these things complianing about how its imposible to defend europe and africa against asia bc of the concentration of reinforcements in china/india. i told him to try airtransports bc its the only way to do it. anyway all that for saying if you drop out tanks on a plane it becomes way to tedious to destroy the other person

Um i not 100% how ure thinking people would exploit it, but i have been in situations where it would have been helpful mostly in games where we agreed to ally win but for some reason some forgot to ally or wasnt allowed or there wasnt enough time.

Also u have to consider that moving units around is the point of certain upgrades and transports. if we did it your way america could take over 1 city and europe and in the next turn have armies of 100s spawned in europe with out taking the time to cross the alantic

Hey one thing i have found annoying is that when i am joining a game, I either forgot which strategy or didnt change my stratgy for the game i am about to join. I think that one should choose thier strategy whille/b4 they choose thier home country. This would also be a good idea bc most of the time b4 u join a game you dont know where u will start is the country u wanted already take or what and since certain stratgies r better in certain areas, it would be nice to be able to change your strategy based off your location. btw im not sugessting in game switches

Not sure if that wouldnt be at all over powerfull or not but the stealth for all units would eliminate the need for mariens and stealth bomers which would be a huge advantage

In some of the transalantic battels i have fought i was helpful to know generally what armies my opponent was sending. mainly bc i know he cant change the number or type of units. i did send a sub to get better info though.

With the saving and loading feature would probaby only work for people who know each other. personaly if i didnt know everyone was most likely to rejoin i wouldnt vote to save but instead keep playing and let those who didnt want to drop

I got here from Reddit. I saw the post, read the comments and decided to see for myself...I was very doubtful that somebody pulled off a good RISK-like game online [cuz I've tried them before and didn't like them]. I tried it for myself...and well I've already spent hours playing.

I like it...my only problem is that it's missing RISK's unintended but vital [for fun] social mechanic where people ally and usually do against the biggest player. I've allied in game...and my last one was against the biggest player. But a lot of players don't want to ally they just want to kill of the smallest or newest players for some quick SP. In RISK being a big giant makes you a target...here that can happen but I dunno.


In my last 3 wins, 2 of them i joined the game with an obviously dominant player already existing.

I think the social gang-up mechanic is getting more traction as this game grows older.


i agree. im not from reddit, but with the social strategy of risk is based inknowing your opponets thier weaknesses and strengths when the game started most of us didnt know each other now as we progress we form our own old boys club where alliance of the small is less unstable

Another aspect to clans in normal games, is obvously we cant pack all the heavy weights into one or two clans. so clans should be composed of 1 or 2 level 7 8, 3 or 4 level 6-3 and as many lower rank players. any what this all boils down to is personally in a normal game i ally with those who i either know to be strong players (not easily beaten) or those that it would be too much trouble to take on at the begining. so unless my clan members were people i could rely on to hold thier ground i wouldnt be as likely to ally with them unless they were in the above reasons

Im not really liking this transpot rule. it makes sence for when transports are flying over the pacific people should take other units like subs and bomers to defend but it doesnt really make sence if some one attacks you while you are loading the transport. a question i had was how does it determine who moves first bc i have done some really long chases and it would be nice to know how it works r some units faster than others?
