Hearts of Iron 3 or Hearts of Iron 4?

I'm going to say Hearts of Iron 3 with all DLC.

As much as I don't like either, HOI3 in general is more outdated and complex than HOI4 which is generally simpler to get into.

Hearts of Iron 3 it's as complex as you imagine. The the shitty UI serves for a lot of that, however.

HOI4 HOI3 was to hard and complicated.

Paradox's worst series by far. Kill it with fire.

Hoi4 is an amazing sandbox, Hoi3 is garbage and has an over-complex UI that makes it more complicated than what it should be. "Hoi2: DH" beats both of them in everything but visuals. Hopefully Hoi4 gets more depth once all of the DLCs are out.

I haven't played HOI4 but from what I've seen HOI3 is better since Japan can't invade Norway.
