Should Genoa be added to Italy?

I personally think it would make Italy way more competitive because of its ability to reach spain in one turn with a sea trans. It would be a 3-res city, turin would be removed and is currently Italy's 6th largest city. It has the same population as Dublin and Copenhagen, which are also 3-res cities. Let me know down below what advantage/disadvantage it would be!

Remove turin. It could be a 3 reinf city too, it has roughly the same population as Turin.

That would give 4 ports on west side, Palermo, Cagliari, Naples, and now Genoa. I always wanted another port on East, like Venice.

Agree. i also might add that greece needs another one or two islands preferably on the ionian sea and maybe another one in the aegean.

Removing Turin means removing the capability of reaching Paris with the 3reinf with strats like Imp, which I consider a useful asset of Italy. Genoa would be interesting, but also as Nero said Venice (but it's of not much use there in the north imo) or if u want a buff in the west maybe 1 reinf port Bonifacio in Corsica? ^^

Italy is prolly one of the most OP countries in big maps of southern Europe. Where North Africa and Mideast is also able for take.

I think Italy is fine as it is.

But naples, Cagliari and palermo are really, in essence, only serving the East side and balkans, since they can't reach anything to the West. Only with a chain from Cagliari can get you one trans to Spain.

Nope, there are more important and realistic changes that have yet to be added.

It doesn't mean it's not worth a suggestion/debate.

You could make Cagliari a 2 reinf city instead

Just kidding. But seriously, Italy needs a port on the east side more, but I wouldn't be opposed to having a port for Northern Italy. It's actually quite annoying. The port on east side (or even just bari) should be made standard even without extra cities enabled....like Odessa for Ukraine

You guys need to think outside the box... even though the ports are on the west side, there is only one that actually serves the west side, and thats Cagiliari. Naples, palermo and Bari only serve the balkans, which is to the east.

a northern port would increase italy's ability to rush paris, not decrease it

Italy is strong enough as it is... though I admit it would be nice to play.

I could lead up the project, if any one is interested in bouncing ideas around on what to change we could get started. I kinda already tried this with my 1968 eu+ map but I think the changes I made shocked people to much. We could just make subtle changes to improve the meta and we could vote on them through polls. We could call it communities choice eu+ or something.
