Third pick on europe+ 3vs3 (Discussion).

The first 4 picks are usually around United Kingdoms, Germany, Ukraine and Turkey. However the third pick have lots of variation. Which countries are electable for 3rd pick?

Usual picks: France and Spain. Rarely someones goes into Russia: Volga for weak ukraine.

combo breakers:

Russia: Northwest >>>>>> Against United Kingdoms and Ukraine.
Poland >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Against Germany and Ukraine.
Italy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Against Turkey and Germany.

Is there any other viable 3rd pick?

IF greece to mess up with turkey and lux (whatever strategy you like) to fund east and make a mess in west.

Edit: Lets be real, pick whatever you want, almost everything can be played on Europe and be used as some kind of 'advantage'.

I don't see the advantage of cyprus and iceland. Sure everything have a kind of advantages as you say, but they also have disadvantages.

In the chase of iceland, luxembourg and cyrpus, the disadvantages greatly overcomes the advantages.

I don't know about ds poland fighting germany and ukraine but when spain/france take rome, DS' Hei can attack spin/france infantry in rome. usually spain/france can't reach the balllkan because they din't take the port city in italy that give you acess to balkan. But only by airtran. and france/spain would be too poor to spamm anti-aircraft.

Austria IF is playable

Poland IF is <3 .

Why I have the feel of "I know viable 3rd picks,but I will keep them for my clan".....

you can just overpower Germany in some of its expansion locations, Poland can be played with nearly any strat after all also ya t1 will scare ukr and Germany making them both play highly deffencive t1 usually you'll have something like ukr stacking RC and or RNW for fear of an SM rush there

Poland with Ukraine Germany enemy similar to Italy with Germany Turk enemy I find, it makes the enemy worry about where you will go thus they usually change their expansion to try best adapt and trying to do something different on t1 can screw over a fair few players ofc sometimes it backfires for example Italy rushing Austria and Germany stacking Austria
