Server?

Was the server down last night or was it just me? about 8:00 est i lagged out of the game and then couldn't access it until this morning, chrome was giving me the error ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.

Happens to me too somtimes

The server has been down each night Eastern time for the past week. Nobody even posts or says anything about it.

Same. No one responds. Quality customer service from the folks who bring you atwar. At least post something that says it's going to be down for maintenance. If the tards that rip up the highways can post a blinky sign at 2am, AW can do us paying customers the courtesy.

What is weird is that it only happens to certain players.
EDIT: in eastern timezone that is.

I have had the same problem, I was thinking I was getting Dos'ed or something but I was still able to access internet.

Last night I got kicked out earlier than usual, loosing connection at about 7:30.

We haven't posted anything because the server hasn't been down. I can see in the logs that there was no pause in service and there have been players online all the time. The fact that so many players seem to experience connection problems is something we'll have to look into. I apologise for the trouble, but this is the first time I hear of it.

yeah its not server problems, its silverlight.as we ve said before silverlight sucks too much memory to play so if you are doing other things while playing aw, without a very good pc you will have problems..

It's not Silverlight. It's too predictable. I've played the game on various computers throughout the remainder of the day, but for the past two weeks every night at 8pm Eastern the site goes down. It doesnt load. Literally nothing happens.

Blame NSA and Patriot Act... not happening in Canada - 8pm est i've had no problems.

This time I wasn't having problems until 8:30 EST then I couldn't load atwar

That must be the issue with our DNS provider, Cloudflare. I think they have had some problems over the last weekend. Please let us know if you're still experiencing connection issues.

There's one thing you could try and that is to hard code the server's IP address into windows hosts file. That should completely bypass our DNS provider (in case it's offline).

Here's how you do it:
Open C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file in notepad (might need to run it as administrator)
Add the following line to it:
5.45.74.102 atwar-game.com

Stopped working again last night.

The problem is still going on every night, roughly 8pm EST as discussed. Hasn't changed in almost three weeks. How do I know it's specifically confined to Eastern US? I used a VPN and connected through California and it worked just fine. Disconnected the VPN and tried again and same shit. Whoever is the local server here is shutting down every night at that time. It's not AW's fault but rather some provider they are using. They just need to figure out a solution.

On Sunday it was down for 5 hours from like 10 am CST to 3 pm CST also
