What are the core sources of making them the laughing stock of the world? Of course hey have brought good things into this world yet they always seem to an obnoxious, hypocritical and comical bunch of states.

What makes other countries literally say the words "America is a fucked up country"?

One state has x10 times the population of that one country. In the developed world the population is proportionate to Gross Domestic Product. The state isn't necessarily "better", it simply has more people.
To get a fairer result, you would use GDP per capita.
Assuming you were talking about Ireland or another European country in comparison with an american state (I chose California, the wealthiest state in the US, so the figures are actually in your favor)

GDP Per Capita of Ireland: $70,638
GDP Per Capita of California: $58,619

The figure for all of the US is actually similar to California's.
GDP Per Capita of the United States: $59,501

So the argument is essentially "there's more of us than there are of you".
Accurate facts > bias facts

Ireland's GDP per capita is high partly from its use as a tax haven for Google and other top companies. Ireland indeed has a highly developed country but its high gdp, like swiss/monaco/luxembourg etc, is partly from its use as a tax haven. A large country like the US cannot be a tax haven, but small countries like Ireland can be tax havens and get away with the low tax because of their small populations and high revenue from the financial sector
