We'd like to know from the community what they think the most pressing issues on AW are. For example, the ELO System as well as Brian's recent CW Regulation post between all of the actively participating competitive clans are pretty pressing and important issues.

We would like to use what feedback we receive from the community as a general guideline for future projects.

Turn 0 for Casual games
The possibility to start a game with a "phase" lasting one full turn (say 48h), where players could join and pick a country, all of this before turn 1 (hence the "Turn 0" designation).
That would allow all players to reinforce on turn 1, without the need to enter the game lobby with all other players simultaneously.
This is a minimal condition for having Casual CWs, let alone fair non-CW games.

Let's be real, this game is owned by one guy who has many other apps and stuff to deal with. Stop promoting new ideas, focus on the shit we've been asking for, for years. Daves one man and so is Clovis. We need more people working on the game. Simple as. So how we gonna get that?

That's the real important issue, we need more people working on this game.

When Dave bought this game, he got dogs abuse. No wonder he hasn't logged on(with his normal account anyway) he has a good few other projects and this is his first game he bought too.

This game doesn't produce lots of revenue either, so imagine that morale. Buy a game... Ohh, people are saying "Fuck off" as well as server attacks and only player, Clovis helping with the big coding problems with the map maker and a few other problems.

Instead of focusing on lot's of different shite, let's focus (Or at least top people) on how we going to get more help and how are we going to produce income for the game so we can have the capital to pay for part time workers?

Maybe kickstarter is all gone and old news now, would that be a good start? I saw a few others promoting this idea a long the years too.
Ads? I'm happy to watch a 30 sec add or click on the ads.

Nothing, its hopeless and past its time, 2009 online niche strategy game wont attract anyone at this point, failed to retain and or get new players with the series of ads dave added a few months back, he should honestly pull the plug on this money sinkhole.

This way you don't need to wait for players to join the game or if they leave an AI can take over. I'm an independent game developer (in progress) and I'd be happy to help with the logic behind creating the AI. It's hard to imagine that the current devs haven't thought of it before which is why I keep thinking there was a reply to this suggestion before. Regardless I'd still love to help. I really like AtWar and used to play it a lot. So I wouldn't mind helping the devs think of a way to implement the AI.

I agree with what Garde said.

For me, I didn't play a single game for the entirity of 2018 and most of 2019, only returning at the end of August after finally watching Peaky Blinders and then wanting to revive the clan. I got hooked into atWar again, playing 3v3's and games everyday for like 2 weeks, then got bored and took a break. Then I returned, got that rush again, kept playing games everyday, then got bored again.

Right now, the main reason motivating me to play games is to rank up to 12, but after that I don't see any other major motivating factor to keep playing - it gets repetitive after a while. I've noticed a lot of old players would come back, play a couple of 3v3s, then dip again for a few months.

From experience of running my own game, I know that the users like getting monthly updates and new features once in a while (even if the update is a small one, it's a sign the admins are at least working on the game).

What I think atWar needs is a bigger, active administration. Someone to handle the marketing, someone to handle the community and moderators, and multiple people for the development. Kudos to Dave, Clovis and Amok for their development so far, but it's evident that this is clearly not enough, and in order to keep users on atWar more interested and engaged in the game they need a bigger team that will actually get things done. It doesn't seem quite 'professional' for a game like atWar to solely rely on one man on everything, especially when that man is busy with other projects.

Remember when Dave bought atWar and immediently people became active again, thinking all of atWar's problems will be resolved? I believe our mistake was thinking only one man can fix everything by himself.

TL;DR
-Monthly Updates (even minor updates)
-More active and diverse administration team (prioritize the developers)
-Financial investment into atWar

I haven't played atwar since a large portion of my RP friends were banned from New World Empires.... I don't see most of them play either. I miss playing RP with all of them.

Call me a hypocrite, but I completely agree with this. We should establish community guidelines that 1. ban profanity, 2. ban toxicity per the arbitrary interpretation of a moderator, 3. remove the competitive aspects of the game so that everybody is a winner in Dave's heart. The punishments should be severe in order to deter more profanity and toxicity.

Dude that's toxicity in literally every game. If you buy the most recent call of duty and play multiplayer I highly doubt you won't meet a toxic teammate within the first 5 hours of playtime.
I'm not trying to normalize toxicity but you're saying that as if that's an atwar problem only when it exists in literally all forms of gaming, especially in games where there's a competitive side, people will always try to use "besting" you as some form of bragging rights in games and use it as a medium for toxicity
