Conor McGregor needed 13 seconds to K.O. Jose Aldo

After match McGregor has written a message for public on his FB profile:

Thank you for all the kind messages!
I am extremely grateful and proud to be in the position I am in.
To the naked eye it was 13 seconds, but to my team and my family it has been a lifetime of work to get to that 13 seconds.
Congratulations to the staff at the UFC on a historic week in the sports history and an amazing 2015 for the company.
It is an honor to be playing a part in this great companies continued growth and success and an honor to top off a phenomenal week in the sports history.
Thank you to all the fans who travelled and made this week what it was!!
The traveling Irish are untouchable when it comes to creating the atmosphere needed to make a week like this what it was!!
I am forever blown away by the support of my country. We have changed the game forever!!!
Respect to a great champion in Jose Aldo. The true greats will always overcome adversity.

He is good in his weight class, I wish he would gain more weight and participate in the heavyweight division.
I would like to see him fight with Alistair Overeem.

I agree, but every time when someone mentions Overeem, I have in mind his match against BigFoot Silva when he got KOed.. It was soooooo brutal match

Bigfoot was lucky, Overeem is way stronger than him, if Overeem didn't belittled him, and fought serious he would have won. If you saw the match you can see how stronger he was in comparison to him, but let's not forget that Bigfoot is a formidable wrestler and great fighter as well.

He is a brutal machine, but fight sports are mostly based on technique, after that comes strenght. Why Bigfoot KOed Overeem, it is because he was not in guard, his hands were down and you know what was next..
I know it was hard after several rounds to be same good as in first round, but you need to stay focused as long as possible on your defence, cuz opponent will take that as an advantage and kick you out

Of course, not to lose your guard is the basic rules in fighting sports, and in this situation Overeem was way too confident and got what he deserve for underestimating Bigfoot. He usually win even when he underestimates his opponents but not this time. He slept well after few hook punches to his chin

Yeah, it was an accurate and strong left hook to Dos Santos's face. And he was already KO, he couldn't defend against Overeem's aftermath attacks. Good call from this referee to stop it before there is long term damage.
