It's chaos. Ukrainian Army is deserting, moving to countryside where they have cousins so government can't find them. Soldiers recieve no pay for a year, they are short on bullets, boots and uniforms. Many units started to protest lack of funds and pressure(put on them) to continue to be stationed after 2 years of (forced) service.
Those captured by Donbass Army, switch side, while those captured by Ukrainian Army get executed.

Donbass residents lack water, heat, electricity, medicine. There is no one else but Russia to send them help as Donbass is blocked by Ukraine on ground and air. Moscow have to pay Donbass people pensions (400 million dollars a year).

Ukrainian people started to complain because purchasing power went down for 20% and prices up for 20%, there is nothing built in the last 2 years and new politicians, since 2014, those activists and NGO's that led people to protests are now rich elite who spend on cars, mansions and parties.

2 million Ukrainians already moved to Russia(2x more than Germany recieved immigrants), part of them settled in countryside and became farmers, other half moved to Siberia to join logging industry. More are expected in the following years if situation continue to deteriorate in Ukraine.

I'm afraid wall have to be made on Ukrainian-Russian border, now it's too late to repair the damage. Lack of funding into economy, education and social programs will turn people into animals, they will become more violent and aggressive. Best thing is to build a wall and keep them out and cut all contacts with them. Sadly they became an orwellian society where rich is enjoying and civilians are poor uneducated masses constantly fed propaganda.
