New army icons on the map

You might have noticed that instead of circles we now have icons. Do they look good? Are they an improvement?

I like them - but I can see why come people would rather have circles (less distracting). Maybe an option to switch between the two?

Also - they should still be circles, or some abstract icon when out of range.

I agree, also it is easier to notice units when they all look the same (e.g. circle). Is there anyone to make it a user option so each player can select icons or circles?

We're making modifications at the moment, and it looks like the circles will be back, with subtle army type icons.

I like the new icon-circles best! Nice work. Maybe have another different icon for mixed groups (tanks and air in one group) some day.

Yes, new icons are lovely. But this is more of a question... Why is it that we can see stacks out of our viewing range types?

The simple answer is because we didn't bother to hide them But I still don't think it gives you a whole lot of additional information anyway.

In some of the transalantic battels i have fought i was helpful to know generally what armies my opponent was sending. mainly bc i know he cant change the number or type of units. i did send a sub to get better info though.

The icons make enemies units easy to see, so u can just look at them and know what they r. i reckon keep it as it is : )

It'd be cool if there was a classic mode once the games out of beta, like as a gametype (it would have everything that the first release had, circle troops, luck rolls, the works ) I honestly like random circles, but random circles with AIRPLANES on them is much better

I like the icons, its helps me distinguish between my bomber stacks and troops stacks and stuff
