Russian Civil war - 1918 EU+

This map covers the russian civil war from it's inception in 1918, however certain factors of the civil war had to be intentionally dropped due to complexity like for example the Green armies of the war. The green armies were anarchists that were against every faction in the war and as a result it'd be impossible to make them without giving them their own team(which will be hard to win as since they were just a cluster of cities)

With that said onto the showcase:


The far eastern part of the civil war was intentionally dropped and I will address this in the following comment on this thread

Teams



Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic & Bolsheviks
-Members:

North RSFSR(dark orange)
Recommended strategy: Perfect Defense, Lucky Bastard
Guide: They have to fight a 2 front war against Western Republics and Interventionists in North Russia, Petrograd is a key city, important to hold. Should try to wear down interventionists and push them back as top priority then help push against Western Republics. Should ideally try to get Byelorussia early game
Late-game reinforcements boost through conscription centers. (though enemy can get reinforcements if they take the city)

South RSFSR(red)
Recommended strategy: Perfect defense(Ideal strategy), Imperialist
Guide: They have to fight a 2 front war against Western Republics and All Russian government from the east. Ideally should try to get South russia under control first then focus reinforcements against holding back A.R.G while pushing Poland with North Russia. Capturing Ukraine early game is a must. Mainly should be on the offensive for most of the game.
Late-game reinforcements boost through conscription centers (though enemy can get the reinforcements if they take the city

Bolshevik Central Asia(Light orange)
Recommended strategy: Perfect defense, Imperialist
Guide: They have a 2 front war against All Russian Government and Interventionists. Ideally should kick interventionists out of Persia first then focus on All Russian government and back up South Russia in Caucasus if they need it.
Late-game reinforcements boost through conscription centers (though enemy can get the reinforcements if they take the city)



White Movement & Interventionists
-Members:

Interventionists(Blue)
Recommended strategy: Naval Commander, Perfect defense, Lucky Bastard
Guide: They have to fight a 2 front war against Bolshevik central asia and North Russia. Their main focus is on North Russia, they must put down a lot of pressure on North Russia and help support Western Republics. They easily lose their Persian bases and should try to hold back Bolshevik central asia as much as possible to keep heat off All Russian Government.
Late-game they will gain "War-weariness" units dictating the allies' weariness after constant war (from ww1 and intervention in this war) which will reduce their income during late game

All Russian Government(Purple)
Recommended strategy: Imperialist, Blitzkrieg, Perfect defense (only if you get hard funded)
Guide: They have a 2 front war against Bolshevik central asia & South Russia. Their have lower income of their team but very high reinforcements and the distance between their reinforcements and the front is large, so blitz would be optimal to moving troops or using a lot of railways to move (but only a good idea if allies fund). Should try to keep serious pressure on South Russia to prevent them from pushing on Western Republics, they should be moderate when facing bolshevik central asia

Western Republics(Green)
Recommended strategy: Perfect Defense, Lucky bastard
Guide: They have a 2 front war against North and South Russia. Their first goal should be to secure finland as quickly as possible then put pressure on North Russia with Interventionists help. They should ideally try to grab Minsk and Kiev early game.

Now in regards to why all of Russia is not included: Upon making this I realized the game would end up being an extremely long game and not everyone would be willing to play that so I decided that for now I'd make two iterations of this map an EU+ one(this one) and a full Russia map including the entirety of Russia and Japan.

But as to why I decided to do this in two versions is because longer games tend to not do as well because people won't want to sit through an extremely long game despite how good it is. Like for example Witch doctor's Sino-Japanese war which is a very good and well-put together scenario but some people choose not to play it because they don't want to sit through a really long-drawn game
