Why isn't AtWar Gameplay Knowledge More Mainstream?

I've noticed that there's a ton of useful content on YouTube and in the forums, but the game knowledge doesn't seem to be as mainstream as it should be. Coalitions are key training grounds, but despite all the guides and resources, it feels like not everyone is using them effectively. Does anyone else feel like there's a gap between available knowledge and how it's being used in the game?
