Lack of active moderators

I am saying my opinion so you might disagree/agree with me but please explain why.


i have been here for almost 3 months and the only active mods i have seen so far are Safari and Vril. i saw some other Mods of course but not as frequent as i see Safari and Vril.
i am not sure about how much Moderators there is in total, but i would say that we need few more as moderators, because the following active mods Vril and Safari arent Online at any giving time and cant handle alone all the problems some players cause so having 3rd or even 4th active moderator would help the game environment. therefore we the regular players wont have to deal with some trolls that ruin our game fun experience and when reporting them we wont have the problem of "AFK" or offline Mods.

In my honest opinion, I think "Hdrakon" or currently known as "MrAmok" should be a moderator, he is fairly active, and (mostly) makes the correct decision.
(In my eyes) he benefits the atWar community and if given the opportunity to become a moderator, I believe that this will become an even better community than it currently is.

When you /report and no mod is online that time it gets saved and we handle it later if you include
some valid proof. For example screenshot or paste chat line

The problem isn't "Who is Moderator?" but "What rules Moderators follow?".
The flexibility of AW rules means that mods can near certainly overturn stated guideline.

There are always enough players to promote to become mods.

i think tunder3 or Tophats should be mods.

I agree. Inevitably one person says "do X" and another says "don't do X."

To the new player who genuinely was unable to get moderator help...sorry. If no mods are on send a report and we'll get to it when we can. Mods are in different timezones with different real-world commitments and so coverage isn't 100%, but we do our best.

Isnt there any type of company of private moderation?
Maybe Ivan and Amok can replace current mods for others by money, but probably AtWar does not generate that quantity of money.

If you talk about activity in game, then you can say Safari, hdrakon, Guest and VRIL are the most active mods (at least the last couple of months). But modding is doing more then only watch chat for abusers and spammers, which players see us do. There are also a lot of things players don't see. Seeing a mod rarely in game, does not mean he isn't doin anything. But if you notice your reports aren't answered, try to PM to a mod directly. Mods also have a 'real life' outside AW and do not always have time to be here 24/7. Inactive mods get demoted though. And if we think we can't handle it with the current mods, we get new one's. But for the moment, i think we are doing fine (suggestions are always welcome though).

If hdrakon become mod , i will get banned for being Palestinian , plz don't make him mod

Speaking personally, I've been more inactive lately due to RL issues that need my attention at the moment, but I'm expecting to solve it in a few weeks. Still, I check the game daily and try to solve problems whenever I can, if I'm aware of them, of course.

I don't think we need more mods.

Agreed, the sad news that mods are way more responsive in the forums than they are in game lol.
I have been looking for more content for my AW Database, but it seems only players like Columna Durruti dedicate to the community by creating stats tables with me. Ask mods for videos? They go "meh". TRUE STORY
