Poll for: 4th atWar 1v1 tournament

Especially after THIS topic i got the idea to start the new 1v1 tournament in the old style, like the 1st tournament was also going. That means we restore the old rules:

Europe map
5k Money
2 minutes turntimer
no rares
capture and hold 2 turns
+100 cities

Post below if you want to comment. I'm starting the new 1v1 very shortly and i'm hoping that most of the old players will return for this....

Yes, 4 minutes is pure pain. 3 is bearable with 10k.

Whilst I appreciate your desire here to bring back a will to compete from the 'older' player base be cautious not to disadvantage newer players who have played the game with longer time allowance. 3 mins rather than 2 would seem the logical conclusion to cater for both camps, 5k though is the right gametype imo.

Offcource you can. But the game settings are 'old school'. This is not the signup page though, i was just checking if there was interest in these old settings

Love this except for the 2 minute part. I agree with b0nker that 3min would be a better balance. 2 minutes seems exclusive to older members and isolates newer players though. Either way, I am down to join.

2 minutes is more than fine except for the games desu plays in those should be 4 min.

I'd join. Though yea 3 min would be better imo too. But 2min would be new experience so would still play if it sticks with 2min. : )

It is only 5k and they are 1v1s, so 2m should be plenty of time. Will just be hard to get newer players to join.

Yea, 2min is enough in a 5k 1v1, though if the game extends to more than 8-10 turns, i think 2min will be too short. I do realize most games won't go further than 8-10 turns but it might if both try to win by over-expanding or if east vs west. Which is why I suggested 3min and said i'm still ok with 2min though. : )
