Solution to Spambots

Many spambots spam the forum lately so heres a solution. In order to post in the forum you need to play at least 1 game. You can still view the forum but just can't post.

Another solution could be to actually update the tutorial and make it completable. Then we can change it to complete the tutorial in order to post on forum.

Any of these could be implemented. Support!

Rank 1 is enough and by completing the tutorial, you should be able to get there. And yeah, spambots are freaking annoying! If at least they payed something to be able to spam...

NO to "complete tutorial"; YES to "Rank 1" (= played at least 1 game).

Played 1 game is minimum threshold... i don't see why it needs to be higher. Agree ♥

I am confused by the word spambot, is it like a software that automatically posts forume messsages and makes accounts, or a person doing it? If its a person, id say r2-3 minimum, until then new players can use help chat ingame or pm mods.

I think Rank 1 and/or compete tutorial is good. It will block out all automated spambots.
If the problem persists (human spammers), the limit can be adjusted later.

I agree with the completion of the tutorial I think that is an amazing idea. Not only helps with the spam, but will also help new player not spam the help channel with "how do I attack?"

Yea this is one of the things that crossed my mine too. Thats why I think completing the tutorial might be the best option. This way automatic spambots(most common) can't post ad's on the forum, but human spambots still can with a little bit of hard work.

Tutorial is already completable (only once, and only on rank 0). I think I will implement the rank 1 restriction for forum posting now.
