You may call it differently, but we are talking about the same. The use of army in internal affairs; which I consider a very bad idea. For internal conflicts you have police... in extreme cases some national guard-like units, which are some hybrid between police and regular army. In Germany, for instance, it would be the BGS (Bundesgrenzschutz), which is a military-like unit adscribed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Police) and not Defense Ministry (army). Many countries have forbiden the use of army units on national territory... military coups of the past have taught a lesson.

He is talking about helping the country. In Ireland and I'm sure many other countries, the army goes around the country and braces/clears up the aftermath of a flood or any other national disaster like that. And the bomb squad and even military police are also of great help. And this is just my personal opinion that I don't see anywhere anymore. The Roman Legions where builder's and carpenters that built the roads and buildings of the country, I agree that most if not all military personnel should be builder's, electrictons and carpenters. This is actually just a rant/ thought I've been thinking about for a time... However, any thoughs on it?

yea, what unicorn said is more along the lines of what i mean. Yes there are definitely instances where military coups have occured, just look at Africa... But police can only do so much. Police are restricted to law enforcement (thankfully) and aren't walking around with high caliber weaponry. Granted, maybe in this case you could combine the police force into an external defense force, but then that would require a larger police force. One thing a small nation such as Kosovo should be looking to achieve is international recognition, and a great way of doing so is by 1) creating an army and 2) sending it out on UN sanctioned peace-keeping missions. Say what you will about these missions and how corrupt the UN is (which if u didnt kno.. is a terrible institution), but at the end of the day a small nation such as Kosovo wud achieve recognition by other more powerful states for their contribution

Frankly i stopped giving fucks long time ago. Some war would be great so i can end this shitty life with heroic death. But i'm just wondering
How would america react if suddenly mexicans started overpopulating texas and decided to declare independence forming country of Texas, with a support from 5 other military strongest nations and bunch of others. Would usa just bend over or would it react to that move and how?

Interesting. If by 5 other militarily strong nations you mean including Russia and China, then yea we would be screwed and have to admit defeat. But as interesting of a thought as that is, it's legit just not possible lols

2+2 is not 5, that's correction. No matter how many nations recognize Kosovo or any other land like Tibet which is part of China, it is still part of Serbia, because no matter how many people synchronize opinions that 2 and 2 is 5, in reality it will always be 4, simply it is impossible to go against logic and reason. It is shocking that World (read: West) is interfering in internal problems of a sovereign nation, and try to play with it like it's some game. There are treaties, accords and charters that guarantee border sovereignity, freedom and independence, it is outrageous someone is violating law in modern era.

outrageous you say? Go read the news please! Countries violate sovereignty all the time, thats nothing new. I mean hell, theres all sorts of institutions out there that violate sovereignty (which thankfully the US is not apart of in most cases). What if "the west" believe Kosovo to be sovereign? What if "the west" believes Serbia un-rightfully is holding sovereign territory? 2+2 doesnt equal 5, but it does equal 4

i thought it was outrageous also. However once you realize they are all under IMF rules they aren't considered to be in violation of law. The IMF lends each of these nations money (and their armies are funded using IMF recognized currency) so each nation is under their control in accordance with some form of international admiralty/maritime/commercial law. From IMF point of view, it's like watching their children fight, and fighting is good for business and bankers. So it's not violation of the superior laws. It is in violation of the treaties, accords, charters etc. but these are agreements between the 'children' (i.e. nations), so the 'parents' (IMF and banks) don't need to respect them. ONce you get to the truth, things usually make more sense ♥

Couldnt answer last night bla Usually, when someone makes mistakes it costs you. Surprisingly USA mistakes are mostly profitable and of great strategic value. And we're still there, we're getting to the thread point. Should kosovo, a country made from albanian rebelion, armed by Albania and supported by greed of USA, be allowed to have an army and to be completely recognized as a country?

I would like to claim these words as being mine, but I took from the internet. This is a pretty good definition: The supreme, absolute, and uncontrollable power by which an independent state is governed and from which all specific political powers are derived; the intentional independence of a state, combined with the right and power of regulating its internal affairs without foreign interference. Sovereignty is the power of a state to do everything necessary to govern itself, such as making, executing, and applying laws; imposing and collecting taxes; making war and peace; and forming treaties or engaging in commerce with foreign nations. https://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/State+sovereignty

All im saying is that if a nation is going to be granted legitimacy, yes it should have an army. We could go back and forth for days (as world leaders already have lols) about whether Kosovo should be legit or not. All I've said since the beginning is that if it's to be recognized as legitimate, the only way it can maintain sovereignty is through the creation of a military force to prevent foreign intrusion of all sorts
